I am a father of four year old boy. Yesterday he got into a supposedly childproof cabinet and started playing with bottles of vitamins and medicines, matching all the colours. What should I do if he had ingested them?

You should immediately act and treat…

SWALLOWED POISON
– remove the item from the child and have the child spit out any remaining substance. But do not make the child vomit, and not use syrup of ipecac.

SKIN POISONING
– remove the child’s clothes and rinse the skin with lukewarm water from 15 minutes.

EYE POISONING
– flush the child’s eye by holding eyelid open and pouring a steady stream of room – temperature water into the inner corner. Keep the head tilted towards the affected eye so that poison does not get into the unaffected eye.

POISON FUMES
– take the child outside into fresh air immediately. If the child has stopped breathing begin CPR. If the child has swallowed or breathed in a poison and has serious symptoms – nausea, vomiting, pain, trouble breathing, confusing, seizure or abnormal skin color – you must cal 999 for an ambulance.

Begin CPR if needed. When the ambulance arrived take the poison container, sunstance and any stomach contents that the child vomited to help doctors determine the best treatment.

Okay this is it for now ’cause I still have to check this auto insurance quote for my boss. As he was asking me lately to look an excellent insurance quote for his new aquired car. May this acticle help you guys!
