Did you know that for quite some time now, Motorola’s A45 Murano mobile phone has been spotted on the web, although no exact details on it were unveiled until recently. Yet the handset maker finally decided to go official with the device and announced that the Murano would head towards Brazil under the name of MOTOCUBO A45. This is an environmentally friendly device, comes to the market in a sliding form factor, featuring a QWERTY keypad. According to the company, 25 percent of the A45 is made out of recycled plastic bottles. At the same time, it seems that Motorola is set to continue its line of eco-friendly handsets to which it added the W233 Renew not too long ago, as 70 percent of the new device is recyclable.

For functionality, this new messaging handset from Motorola is able to deliver to users a landscape QVGA display, besides the sliding QWERTY keypad, as well as quad-band GSM/EDGE connectivity and quick access to social networking sites, including Facebook, Orkut and MySpace. MOTOCUBO A45 also shows a 2-megapixel photo snapper with digital zoom and video recording capabilities, along with FM radio with RDS, MP3 player, a 3.5mm headset jack, Bluetooth connectivity, support for Google Maps, a series of preloaded games, including Spore or The Sims 2, MotoID, and a memory card slot for additional storage space, with a 2GB card included in the package. According to the phone maker, the new device is aimed mainly at young users and is capable of providing the connectivity they are looking for.
