Pocket PC-based PDAs, such as the popular Compaq iPAQ series, have been on the expensive and of the PDA spectrum. Toshiba is trying to change that with the new Toshiba Pocket PC e310. Aside from the price, one selling point is the e310’s great screen: a 65,000 color reflective TFT display that’s viewable both indoors and out. The unit’s svelte 5-ounce case about the same size as the popular Palm m505 and noticeably lighter than an iPAQ 3800 should also win converts.
The e310 is built around a 206-MHz Intel StrongARM processor. It has an internal microphone and speaker as well as stereo output. The bundle includes as USB docking cradle/charger with an AC adapter (which can also serve as a travel charger) and the usual pre-installed Microsoft Pocket Office software.
Navigating around menus and applications with the e310 is easy. In addition to four application launch keys and a joysticks-style button, the e310 also has a scroll wheel that is similar to the jog dial on the Sony Clie handhelds.
The e310 is a fully functional Pocket PC device with the latest OS, cool screen, and mobile friendly dimensions at a relatively affordable price. If you won’t miss the extra RAM and dual expansion slots found on costlier models, the Toshiba Pocket PC e310 is a good buy.
Sounds interesting right? So, that’s all for electronic update ’cause I still have to check this fat burner that I happened to browse earlier which I think is good for those people who wanted to burn their excessive fats. Have a great day everyone!
