Just recently I consulted a close friend of mine whose working in a veterinary for my big macho tomcat that I rescued off the street 2 months back. He is constantly getting into fights with the street cats that hang around the bins in our accommodation room. Usually his wounds scab over and heal quite quickly, but he has one his cheek from around four days ago that is now swollen and painful to touch. Do I need to take him to the vet?

This was his reply:

It sounds to me like your macho tomcat finally met his match and has developed asn abscess as a result! A bite from another cat allows bacteria to be injected into the underlying tissues. The initial skin would then heals rapidly, permitting the bacteria to multiply beneath the skin and resulting in an infected pocket of pus. The overlying skin becomes hot and swollen and the cat usually becomes depressed, febrile, and disinterested in food.

Your tomcat needs to visit his vet to confirm the diagnosis. An abscess is treated by lancing it and flushing out the pus and bacteria. If it is a sizeable abscess, this will require him to be sedated. After flushing the abscess if left open to allow further drainage and your cat precribed antibiotics to prevent re-occurrence and resolve the abscess. You should be aware that the street cat population carries the feline immunodeficiency virus(feline AIDS), which is spread through bite wounds. You can request your vet test for this. If the cat is FIV-negative I would strongly recommend you neuter him to make him less inclined to roam and fight with other entire tomcats, or consider keeping him solely indoors.

Keep in mind needs to have their food supplies too in order to obtain there ideal health just as like with dog owners who used to buy the dog supplies who wish the best for their great animal friend. Keep them safe as you take charge yourself too!

The Advisor Fitness

I joined a gym recently hoping to lose some weight and get a better shape, but the problem seems to be that there are too many options when it comes to fitness machines. Which are the best ones to work on?

All of these machines are beneficial to weight loss - they burn fat more than normal resistance training machines, they train your heart and they increase your metabolic rate.

  • Rowing Machine. aka ergo. Considered somewhat old fashioned, but not only do you burn lots of energy you also work out many muscle groups. If have only half an hour to train, rowing would be the best pick.
  • Elliptical Machine. aka Cross-trainer. This works almost the entire body with a great emphasis on lower body, buttocks and hamstrings - especially as the incline is increased. The energy-burning rate is similar o the rowers, but they are easier to use.
  • Treadmill. the most common gym machine. Many varieties of programme can be done on treadmills, and it’s one of the best options for improving the cardiovascular system; but there isn’t enough resistance to tone the body - rows and cross-training still beat for it energy expenditure in terms of effort and time. And if you are overweight, running can put pressure on knee joints that may cause problems in the long run.
  • Bike. very easy and can be very effective as well; quads and hamstrings are worked, through the upper body barely gets touched. Energy expenditure isn’t that great but still it’s fairly easy to stay longer on bikes and get the same amount of energy burned on a shorter period of anther machine. Good for overweight starters or people with backache and joint problems.

Training on this machines for 45-60 minutes a day three to four times a week will help you lose unwanted weights and improve your look; be sure to accompany them with a good healthy diet to really benefit from your workouts and to avoid this mesothelioma health problem or some other serious illness.

Ideal Sleeping time…

Posted by admin | Uncategorized | Saturday 13 June 2009 1:04 pm

sleepingDid you know that according to the study….

Eight hours of sleep a night is ideal. We’ve heard of people who need just a few hours of sleep (Bill Clinton is said to get five or six a night; Martha Stewart is four), and others who required a lot (Albert Einstein thrived on 11hours). Most people need seven to nine hours of sleep at night, but it can range from six to ten hours. To find out how much sleep you really required, take a vacation and sleep in. When you don’t feel the urge to nap on a slow and quite afternoon, that’s when you know you’ve gotten the rest you need. You can also head to bed 15min earlier each night for two weeks. If you still can’t keep your eyed open during a staff meeting or find yourself craving sweets or carbs in the morning – both are signs of sleep-deprived, try adding on 15min more until you’re well rested.

You can’t catch up on lost sleep. Good news! It may take a few days or weeks, but you can in fact catch up on sleep. If you’ve had a busy week or two, try tracking on 15min a night until you feel well rested. After you’ve catch up, try to establish a consistent sleep routine by going to bed at the same time every night and waking up at the same time hour every morning. This causes your level of melatonin, a hormone that governs your wake/sleep cycle, to soar at the same time every night – which helps you fall asleep.

Counting sheep can help you fall asleep. This will only stimulate your brain and make you more alert. If you don’t nod off within 15 to 20min of hitting the sack, get out of bed and listen to classical music or read a book. The return to bed once you feel sleepy.

So, I therefore recommend everyone to take some sleep on desired and ideal time. Its not for everybodys sake rather it will be great for the proper functioning of your internal and external organs. Remember, health if wealth! So, be careful on your body needs and be responsive to the call of times. That’s if now ’cause I still have to check this gps systems I’ve founf earlier this day. This might be the one I can recommend to my boss as he was searching for a tracking system. Be safe everyone!

Great Stands and Mounts…

Posted by admin | Web Business, Web Finds | Sunday 17 May 2009 1:54 pm

One amazing thing about having an internet is I can access all the informations that I want to know specifically, I can check what’s the latest news about technology and business. The two specific topics that I love to discuss more over than others can. Just recently this day I was searching for a stands and mounts for our audio racks back home as my Dad is asking me if I can afford it to buy for our house use. I told my Dad, just give me sometime and I try to find here in the web and probably I’ll order it by here and send it through our address back home.

Good thing is I’ve find this website standsandmounts.com who do offer a great and amazing deal for every products they had. They got what I am searching for a quite sometime on browsing the web. In fact, they got a huge variety of choices for audio racks that I need. But I luckily found one already. It was actually on pending payment by me as I still have to wait for my salary to arrive this month. Hopefully by the end of this month I’d order it for them. Wish me luck!

Of Feeding a Baby…

Posted by admin | Web Health Wellness, Web Tips | Sunday 17 May 2009 1:40 pm

Feeding time for babies sounds like it’s all gurgles and baby burps and oh-so-cute chin drips. That’s the dream scenario. There’s also the nightmare scenario.

DO’s

* Discard unfinished meals. Don’t save it for another time as bacteria can form.

* Learn to read your baby’s signals and be patient with him/her. If he/she is upset, calm him/her before feeding him/her. Trying to feed a cranky baby may lead him to have a tummy-ache. If he soils his diaper during feedtime, change it, wash your hands well, and only then resume feeding.

* Read labels and checks the ingredient list, storage and serving instructions for baby food.

DONT’s

* Feedd honey to babies under age of one. They may contract infant botulism.

* Put your baby to bed with a bottle in his mouth. This can promote ‘bottle caries’.

* Feed cereals/other solid foods through a bottle or feed him if he is in a reclining position: he may gag or choke.

* Season baby food. Babies don’t need added salt or sugar.

* Force-feed your baby. To begin solid foods, start with one or two spoonful and let your baby be the judge of how much he/she wants to eat.

So, as for mother out there who are taking best diet pills right after pregnancy I encourage you to consult your doctors first before taking such medicine so that your baby will not inhibit any serious sickness. Remember, feeding your baby through breast feeding is the best and healthier option you can have for them. So, watch out on your food intake.
